Maeve Moayedi is a Luxembourgish-French-Norwegian-Iranian-British singer, composer, and visual artist exploring connection and the spaces in between. Informed by academic research and guided by water, her practice investigates how vulnerability and embodiment can bridge the divide between mind and body.Drawing inspiration from glaciers, oceans, deserts, and themes of migration and identity, she translates encounters with nature into sound - her voice shifting between melody, texture, and atmosphere. Blending field recordings, improvisation, and electronic composition in collaboration with experimental and jazz musicians, Maeve creates immersive works that move between the organic and the abstract.
"Silencing Nature / Healing Dualisms", is a culmination of a five-year research endeavour during my masters in Sonic Arts and Intersectional Feminism - a photography series, a book and a sound installation set for official release this coming year.
Ahead of the release of this project, I am currently working on my debut EP, an extract of which can be found in the music section.Music
